At CTS, we offer a comprehensive service in Radiation Protection, covering everything from the design phase of radioactive facilities, both at a functional level and in terms of radiation protection, to the preparation of technical documentation for the commissioning authorization. We also participate at decommissioning processes, and we provide periodic radiological monitoring of the facilities.
We work across various sectors that use ionizing radiation, both in medicine and industry, such as Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, the Industrial and Commercial sectors, providing radiation control services that include:
- Quality control of radiation equipment
- Radiological classification of areas
- Verification of radiation and contamination detectors, and management of calibration in accredited laboratories
- Management of dosimetric control for radiation workers and area monitoring
- Classification of radiation workers
- Radiation survey of photon and neutron radiation levels in workstations and in areas adjacent to bunkers and exploration rooms
- Consultancy services for radioactive material transport
- Training in operational radiation protection
We also prepare mandatory documentation to public authorities, such as:
- Authorization for radioactive and radiodiagnosis facilities
- Assistance to the CSN inspections for the radioactive facilities startup and periodic inspections
- Annual and quarterly reports for the CSN
